M.C. Appraisals, Inc. (410) 827-0771: Using Technology to Improve Your Customer ExperienceAt M.C. Appraisals, Inc. (410) 827-0771, technology is the name of the game. We have the latest devices to help us get the job done quicker than ever. We use the best and newest technology available today to bring you high quality, accurate appraisals.
While appraisal fees haven't necessarily gone up over the years, the demands placed on individual appraisers have. We put quality first, but we know that turnaround time is a big concern since nobody likes to wait for results. Therefore, the logical place to save time is in our daily workflow. The appraisers that have continually invested in new technology have been the ones able to bring their customers more accurate reports, better customer service and faster turnaround times.
Ordering and TrackingYears ago, a lot of our orders arrived via fax and were confirmed with phone calls once we arrived at the office. It might be hours before a client even knew if we could do the order. Things are quite a bit different now and when an order is placed on the site, we get a text message on our phones. We often log into this site from the field and send back an e-mail confirmation – including the time and date for the inspection if we've been able to talk to the occupant.
M.C. Appraisals, Inc. (410) 827-0771 understands that real estate is all about timeliness. We use our resources to reduce waiting between communications since the speed at which we get things done directly effects your bottom-line. Through features on this website, we can actually speed up the entire appraisal process.
Data Gathering ToolsGathering the data for an appraisal is a demanding process. We spend a great deal of time collecting the facts on the subject property and the local market data and trends. Once again, technology has stepped in to help M.C. Appraisals, Inc. (410) 827-0771.
Instead of using paper forms and pencils and then re-keying all the information back at the office, don't be surprised to see us with a tablet PC or collecting data using an application written for our phones that even lets us sketch a floorplan right on site. Rather than using that clumsy outdated tape measure, a larger percentage appraisers are utilizing accurate laser measuring devices that also help measure hard to access areas.
All of this technology ensures that the final report is as thorough and accurate as possible, requiring fewer call-backs and revisions. A real money saver for busy appraisal clients.
Here at M.C. Appraisals, Inc. (410) 827-0771 we want you to know you have more options to receive your report.Delivery of appraisals as PDF files through e-mail is definitely the standard these days. Most of our clients prefer e-mail because we're all accustomed to getting attachments like PDFs in our mail. It's much more efficient than the old days when everything was on paper. But, we've even been able to improve on e-mail with report delivery with this website.
Ever lost a file that was sent to you? Or have you ever had problems sending or receiving an e-mail because of the file size? We've come up with a solution for those problems, too. Whenever we send an appraisal, the client gets a link sent to their email to retrieve the PDF. So, at that point, it doesn't matter if all the extra photos and maps in the report result in a large file that would normally be blocked by e-mail. And the download link is good for 90 days. So if anything happens to the file, you can log back in here and retrieve it again - saving you time, since we won't even need to run back to the computer.
Lastly, we use all digital workfiles...It would probably be easier if appraisers could never have to think about an assignment again after writing and giving it to the client. But one of the purposes of an appraisal is as a legal document outlining the condition of a property on a specific date. Therefore, appraisers must keep their reports for 5 years in case any disputes or other matters arise regarding the property.
Here again, M.C. Appraisals, Inc. (410) 827-0771 leverages our experience with technology to improve service. We store every part of the appraisal - notes, sketches, supporting documentation and calculations - along with the appraisal electronically, we skip the paper file cabinets and only need our computer to recall just what that job was about.
These are just a few examples of how we use technology daily. Investing in the right software, services, gadgets and gizmos allows the appraiser to deliver reports quicker, more efficiently and with higher degrees of accuracy.
